Who We Are

At 81218 Design Studio, we believe design is more than aesthetics — it’s intentional, purposeful, and meant to create opportunities. Every project, every product, and every collaboration is shaped to serve people, amplify creativity, and leave a lasting impact.

Our work is expressed through three distinct yet interconnected pillars:

Formed, Fashioned, Works

Our Values

Purposeful Design — Every detail is intentional and meaningful.
Integrity of Craft — We hold ourselves to a standard of excellence across all disciplines.
Human-Centered — Our work exists to serve people’s needs and aspirations.
Ownership & Opportunity — We provide tools, spaces, and products that empower independence and growth.
Collaboration — We thrive by working alongside creators, clients, and communities.

Meet The Team

My journey with architecture began at Prairie View A&M University, where I also met my wife, Moriah Sims, and continued at Texas A&M University, where I earned my Master’s degree. Professionally I’ve led as a Project Designer, combining creativity, technical expertise, with an emphasis on color and materiality. My interests are not limited to architecture. I am trained in architectural photography and have a passion for explorative, sophisticated, and modest fashion.
I approach every form of design with thoughtfulness and purpose as I believe good design is achievable in every media.

My educational background from Prairie View A&M University and Texas A&M University not only introduced me to my husband and business partner, Jeremy Sims, but also expressed upon me the importance of good design. I’ve had the opportunity to implement creative design decisions across a wide range of projects, from K–12 schools and higher education to government buildings and offices. While I enjoy the challenge of large-scale projects, I’m especially passionate about small-scale design moments where intentional choices can have an even greater impact of how a space feels and functions. I believe the best work happens when creativity meets purpose, and I bring that balance into every project I take on.
